4 stands for MIDO in Milan
Four orders, four countries of the world and another challenge met in the spirit of audacity, creativity and problem solving skills. This is how MIDO was a great operational opportunity for the whole Area Grafica's team.
THE EVENT
MIDO (Mostra internazionale di Ottica, Oftalmologia e Optometria) is one of those great events that earns the city of Milan its reputation as the style capital of the world.
Indeed, since 1970 this has been a global reference for the eyewear industry, as well as a gathering place that brings together around a table all the players in the supply chain, from manufacturers of lenses, frames and machinery to designers. A reputation earned not only by making room for the big players, but also by lending its pavilions to emerging companies and designers, as well as pioneers in innovation and sustainability.
AREA GRAFICA'S IMPRINT
Occasions where Area Grafica's team commits thirty years of experience to satisfy the most varied creative briefs and set-up needs. Four clients have been served, in an ideal business track that links Italy and France, reaching as far as South Korea. Lex and Projekt Produkt are in fact clients from the Far East, while My Future Innovation is a French leader in the production of "smart" eyewear. Italian, on the other hand, is the fourth client, with Comobile Software Solutions. Among the solutions developed by Area Grafica without a doubt the most challenging was the one for Projekt Produkt. The creative, developed in alignment with the Korean parent company, gazes at the avant-garde style of minimalist interior design. Made entirely of polystyrene, it hovers in the air as pure form abstracted from any substantial reference.
The challenge has gone through the creation of a sphere more than a meter in diameter, virtually unavailable in a single block. To make it, Area Grafica assembled eight unique pieces, achieving near-perfect smoothness with materials such as putty and paint. The result met with the client's satisfaction, guaranteeing its stand almost total visibility.
